Here’s how you do it:

  • Open Kodi

  • While you are still in PlayBack, select Host Selection and change to Directory
  • Select Downloads and choose your download locations

  • Find something you want to download
  • Select your movie or TV show as if you were going to watch it
  • When all of the sources open, Highlight (do not click enter)
  • Open the Context Menu (“C”) & select Download Video
  • You will now see a screen asking you to confirm the download.

All content is then available via Genesis > My Genesis or in the download folder you specified earlier.

And that’s it! You will now be able to enjoy the power of Genesis wherever you are both with internet access and without.

The Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick are some of the most popular Kodi compatible devices on the market. They run Kodi very nicely, and are highly recommended for use with Kodi. Kodi for Android can be easily sideloaded to the Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV stick without much effort. If you have an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, Kodi is definitely a must-have app!

Kodi must be sideloaded to the Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick since they both do not offer Google Play Store support. This means that you’ll need to manually update the Kodi app in the future, since Amazon does not officially endorse the use of Kodi on the Amazon Fire TV nor Fire TV Stick. At the same time, the Amazon Fire TV is one of the best Android TV devices around.

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu of your Amazon Fire TV device.

Step 2: Select the Device menu icon.

Step 3: Click on the Developer Options tab.

Step 4: Click on the Apps from Unknown Developers function.

Step 5: Click on the Turn On button to proceed.

Step 6: Once ON is displayed next to Apps from Unknown Developers, return to the Amazon Fire TV home menu.

Step 7: Navigate to the Search function at the top of the Amazon Fire TV home menu bar.

Step 18: Wait a few minutes for Kodi to download to your Amazon Fire TV box.

Step 19: Click on the INSTALL button to proceed with the Kodi installation on your Amazon Fire TV device.
